Serie A: Inter-Cagliari |Confirmed lineups and live commentary

17 April

Inter Milan are set to take on Cagliari in what will be a very important game for them.

– Inter have won five of their last seven Serie A games against Atalanta (D1 L1), after failing to beat them in the previous six (D3 L3).
– Inter have scored in each of their last 19 trips to Bergamo, last failing to score there in January 1992.
– Atalanta have lost their last two league games – the last time they lost three in a row was in November, a run that included also a loss against Inter.
– Atalanta have won only two of their last seven home fixtures (D2 L3), this after they had won five of the previous seven on home soil.
– Inter have failed to score in their last two games – the last time they failed to score in three Serie A games in a row was in February 2012.
– Inter and Atalanta are the two Serie A teams that have scored the most headed goals so far this season, 12 and 10 respectively.
– Atalanta have scored the most goals following a free-kick situation in this campaign (six), but Inter have only conceded four goals overall from set-piece situations.
– Alejandro Gomez needs another assist to equal his record of 10 made in a single Serie A campaign. “El Papu” scored two goals in his first four appearances against Inter, but has failed to score in each of the following nine against them.
– Mauro Icardi has scored five goals in his last two games against Atalanta, but he is yet to net his first goal at the Atleti Azzurri d’Italia.
– 48% of Inter’s goals in this campaign have been netted by Icardi (24 out of 50). Across Europe’s big five leagues, only Nils Petersen (Freiburg) has scored a higher share of his team’s goals this term (50%).
