So far, we have discovered about 2 million different species of animals, bugs, and plant life. But that doesn’t mean that we have discovered and identified every creature on this vast planet! In fact, scientists believe that there could be as many as 4 million more creatures that we don’t even know about. It’s a bit mind-boggling when you think about it. Considering how enormous our planet is, and just how small humans are in comparison, we have yet to discover every nook and cranny. In those hidden spaces are brand new species that we never knew existed. It’s refreshing to think that we’re not done learning yet. Who knows what would happen to our society if we knew absolutely everything about the world around us, who we are, and the creatures we share the environment with.
